In order to encourage more commuting to work by bike, the Government have created a tax break that gives you huge savings on a bike hired from your employer, effectively a tax free bike.

You simply agree to forego a small amount of your salary usually on a monthly basis in order to take advantage of income tax, national insurance and VAT savings.

The whole process of obtaining your bike package is straight forward with Cyclesheme:

1. Your employer registers with Cyclescheme
2. Locate your local partner shops at www.cyclescheme.co.uk
3. Visit a shop and choose your bike and safety equipment - you wil be given a written quoation
4. Request your Secure voucher and digitally sign your Hire Agreement online (if your employer has elected not to use on-line Hire Agreements a hard copy will be issued to you to sign an return)
5. HR/Payroll will review your application and digitally countersign your Hire Agreement
6. After receipt of payment from your employee by Cyclescheme, you will receive a Secure Voucher
7. You take the Secure Voucher and the phtographic ID to the bike shop to collect the bike package
8. Your salary sacrifice will commence
